JW ANDERSON presents bags crafted in collaboration with artisans of the Wayuu community, situated across the Guajira Peninsula of north-eastern Colombia. Each piece is handcrafted. A craft passed through generations, their weaving and crocheting techniques are central to the women's identity and emblematic of the community itself. Each bag is crafted by a single maker, with their personal signature woven into the base, making every base and piece unique. Formed from a circular foundation, the sides are raised in a continuous spiral, creating distinctive geometric patterns associated with Wayuu craftsmanship. A story woven into each piece. Singular in character, rooted in place, honouring and preserving heritage craft.
